About Me

What’s in the name? Well, it all started with a phrase from a song by Joel P. West called “The Inscore In Me”.  I loved the imagery of my words actually having color to them.  But after I ventured to look up the lyrics, I found out that the words where actually: “If my words were colored, I’d want them to be read.”  I’m not too sure what Joel means here, but I don’t care anymore.  The phrase as I first understood it has really evolved into something much deeper to me.  My hope is that if my words took on any color, that they would be red.  The reason?  I think of Jesus’ words and how that in just about every New Testament Bible they are recorded in red.  I pray and hope that all my thoughts and words would be so influenced by the words of Jesus that they would be stained red.

My name is Paul.  I just recently moved back to Portland, OR.  I wanted a place were I could post my thoughts on the go.  Now that WordPress has an application for my iPhone, they can be found here.

I’m seminary student at Western Seminary in Portland.  I really love Ryan Adam’s music, and cherry vanilla Dr. Pepper’s from Sonic…and don’t forget Stumptown Coffee!
